    30-day Handgun Question

So, a customer was reading my signage (didn't know they did that) and asked a question about the 1 in 30 law:

    (F) "NO PERSON SHALL MAKE AN APPLICATION
    TO PURCHASE MORE THAN ONE
    PISTOL, REVOLVER, OR OTHER FIREARM
    CAPABLE OF BEING CONCEALED UPON
THE PERSON WITHIN ANY 30-DAY PERIOD
AND NO DELIVERY SHALL BE MADE TO ANY
PERSON WHO HAS MADE AN APPLICATION
TO PURCHASE MORE THAN ONE PISTOL,
    REVOLVER, OR OTHER FIREARM CAPABLE
OF BEING CONCEALED UPON THE PERSON
    WITHIN ANY 30-DAY PERIOD."
Does the NO DELIVERY mean the first DROS is nullified if a second DROS is submitted before the 30 days?

Negative. You will run the second DROS and in about 3-7 days you will get a "Do not deliver, 1 in 30 violation [paraphrase]". That costs you $25 and you will have to re-run DROS when his 30 twenty four hour periods are over. I hope you pass that cost along to him.

And it doesn't matter if they DROS at another shop, the DROS system knows all! You can't trick it.

Thought so but the signage language doesn't make that clear. (never noticed before the customer asked)

It took me a second, but I just got what you meant. Interesting.

Oh snap, I'm missing the signage...which one is that? I have the one up about Youth Handgun Safety Act, and the one detailing DROS fees.. which section am I missing that talks about the 1-in-30 rule? Can someone point me to the text so I can get it posted?

          Thanks

Six rather large signs that say exactly:
