Exemption to 1 in 30 for sequential serial numbers?

For example, I want to buy two Colt SAA 4 3/4" sequential serial numbered revolvers. Is there any way to do these at the same time? I thought I'd read about an exemption for collectable sequential serial numbered pistols, but cannot seem to find it now.

If you have a C&R FFL and CA DOJ COE, then you are exempt, even if the firearms are not C&R.

You may have to have your FFL hold them and DROS them one at a time, but the guns will be safe at your trusted FFL

If you are a member of SASS there is an exemption for single action revolvers I believe.
