FFL San Fernando Valley

Are there any FFL's in the San Fernando Valley willing to do Interstate PPT's?

I'm temporarily in Reseda, and I need to PPT a Marlin 39 I purchased from out of state.

The rifle's manufacture date is 1953 ... will that qualify for C&R?

In any event, I need some assistance finding an FFL, I will travel up to 50 miles, maybe more, but I'd prefer to deal with a sole proprietor or mom & pop than a corporate retail outfit.

I usually buy two to three firearms per year, and I'd like to find someone to do business with on a regular basis.

Try Independent Armament in San Fernando. They have a forum on here. Real nice guys.

It is not considered a PPT unless both parties go to the FFL, btw.

Tim at Fort Courage Armory in Simi Valley is good and is not corporate.

I put a call in to Independent, but they're on holiday.

I took the long drive over to introduce myself to Tim at Fort Courage, and he's taking good care of me.

He even had the decency to print me out a copy of the Calgun's AW Flow Chart, explain it in detail, and use his current stock for demonstration purposes.
