Single trip transfer?

FFLs,

For a handgun FTF/PPT must the buyer be present for both the day 1 and day 11 meeting, not just day 11?

I ask because the shipping and FFL fees seem to get in the way of SoCal-NorCal transfers. I'm assuming that the reason is that the buyer needs to be present on both days, but wanted to ask.

I think you are confused. The buyer must be present at the start and end of all firearm transactions. Sure you have some people that will start a remote DROS, but that is questionable.

It is the seller that does not have to be present at the end. However, the buyer always has to be present.

You can always send the gun, but then the handgun roster rules apply as it is no longer a PPT (unless you send it and then show up as the seller) and the transfer fee is not capped.
