Need LA Area FFL for Interstate Intra-Familial transfer

I posted this in the Handguns forum earlier, but I think it should have gone here...

My out-of-state father wants to transfer me a S&W revolver that he's had since the '80s. Due to its age I doubt it's on the roster.

I have read the sticky here about these transfers being exempt from rostering, but several of the FFLs in the areas are unwilling to do it. If there is one on here that is willing, please PM me.

Where are you located and how far are you willing to travel? LA is a big place. Tim at Fort Courage Armory in Simi Valley does them. I can also do it. You will need a letter from your father to document it, but most places should require that. Simi Valley is not in Los Angeles County, but it is in the greater LA area.

Thank you for the response. I am in LA City, near Hollywood. Simi Valley is a little far, but doable if that's the closest I can find.

You can try talking to other FFLs and see if you can get them to verify the information and/or call the CA DOJ. That sometimes works.
