    Handgun Safety Demonstration

How do you perform one if the firearm came without a magazine?

The customer purchased a used Glock 20 (the .40S&W one) and it didn't come with a magazine. How do I do the safety demo?

Do I basically go through the motions and describe the magazine dropping, loading the dummy round, showing where the bullet would be after the magazine drops, etc?

Is it the dealers responsibility to have magazines for every firearm that comes through the door? I would think not.

You can not do the safety demo unless it is complete with the magazine. That means that someone must supply the magazine, but generally it would be the customer. You can use an identical firearm, but then that would mean that you have a magazine. Tell the customer that they need to bring a magazine with them or see if you can borrow one from someone you know.

If you "pretend" to do the safety demo, you are not following what is required.
