    Derringers

I searched but I'm still uncertain. Are two barrel, two shot, break action Derringers exempt from the roster? I found this but could not tell if it meant to include Derringers since it states "single-shot."

    12133.
    (b) The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to a
single-shot pistol with a barrel length of not less than six
inches and that has an overall length of at least 101/2 inches
when the handle, frame or receiver, and barrel are assembled.

and feels like it'll blow your hand off. i dont trust them for plinking and such personally, but i'd rather have one than have nothing for SD. they just feel like they are waiting to blow up and i wouldnt want to keep taking that chance. to answer your question, no, not exempt. but you can find the cobra ones just about everywhere. seriously though, a 25lb trigger pull? i know you'd have to have it with no trigger guard but damn! that's alot!

Most civilization is based on cowardice. It's so easy to civilize by teaching cowardice. You water down the standards which would lead to bravery. You restrain the will. You regulate the appetites. You fence in the horizons. You make a law for every movement. You deny the existence of chaos. You teach even the children to breathe slowly. You tame.
