    Out of state AR Lower

Im building a retro AR, and want to get one of the Nodak Spud receivers as ive heard good things about them, now when I call most shops about this they are charging me 50-100 bucks + the $25/$35 background fee?

Just wondering what is a normal rate or if any of you have any places local shops you prefer, Im in the inland empire area, but frequent the south bay, torrance, palos verdes, etc.

    Thanks

Welcome to Calguns, I have not personally seen these at a CA Gun shop. Let me check out "the list" to see if they are banned or not. But online, I have seen them for about 150 + transfer fees!

I dont see it on the list. So if its not illegal, then its legal!! Good Luck finding one though! I believe Cold war Shooters has the AK Version, not sure about the AR Lowers!! You might get a better response if you post in the General Gun Discussion section, as most people don't check this section!

NoDal makes great products. They are passionate about retros and are the best source for a retro build. Worth the money IMO.

That's what sucks about buying on-line is the transfer fee. There's a thread on here that has the transfer fee's for FFL's all over the state. You might want to check it and see if you find someone close to you that'll do it for less than $100. But in all honesty, that's about the going rate.

Bright Spot in Riverside charges $70 for DROS & Transfer fees and are great to deal with. Someone said they were running a special thru the end of the year to thank everyone for their support while DOJ & BATF tried to roast them over the coals. Call the store to confirm that though.....
