    Got declined for FFL BUT...

The BATF still wants to visit to hand me a withdrawl form to sign. Is this normal procedure even though I was declined. Why wont they just send it to me in the mail? Any advice? Suggestions?

That's why they want you to withdraw.

I know... But I just want to know why they would still want to see me FTF, is that procedure?

Zoning? What county are you in? I believe that I saw you are up in Sacto. There are a few FFL in your area right?

What type of license are you applying? 1, 3, 7?

You always get zoning approval first before apply for the FFL. Unfortunately you know now. Sorry man. You should have asked us and we would have saved your money.

I believe that if you withdraw, you can re-apply later and list that you were not refused a license. Someone with more experience may be able to expand on this thought.

This might be a case of "Would you like to resign before we fire you?" ATF might be asking him to withdraw his application so that they don't have to officially deny the application.
