    Federal Firearms Regulations Reference Guide

Is there a CA DOJ equivalent of the "Federal Firearms Regulations Reference Guide"? I particularly like the "Questions and Answers" section.

Are you talking about the "white book"? The ATF now distributes the state "book" on CD-ROM. I don't think it has rulings and FAQs like the federal white book.

Thanks, I saw that was hoping for something a little more in depth like the Fed's reference guide.

Yes, the "white book", thanks, I will check that out, my ATF Investigator mentioned a CD, thought it was the Fed's guide.

White book is the federal guide. The CD-ROM is the all states guide. They should come together with your NICS binder about a week or two after your FFL shows up. The distribution center is a separate address (and state) than the licensing center. The NLC just prints off the licenses, mails them, and keeps your application on file.

If your looking for more of a compiled list of reg's aimed at FFL's give RK Enterprises a call. They publish a "California FFL Kit" that has everything you need to get going.

Get your signs from RK Enterprise. If it is too late, e-mail me and I will send you their check list. I know it is going to save my rear in an audit.
www.tenpercentfirearms.com was open from 2005 until 2018. I now own Westside Arms.

I bought their whole kit back in February (makes it much easier and Bob is very nice), thanks though. My wife found the missing CD, it slipped behind my desk.

For what it's worth, when the DOJ was here they made copies of the RK checklist and looked through the RK blue book. They knew the folks at RK and talked about ordering or otherwise obtaining the blue book themselves. They said it contained good information but they could not "endorse" it any further. For the record, that's what they have to say about anything they don't produce, for fear of being held accountable for someone else's material.
