Does an out of state slide purchase have to go thru a California FFL? This is for a Glock if that means anything.

Does an out of state slide purchase have to go thru a California FFL? This is for a Glock if that means anything.

A slide for nealy all modern auto pistols is considered a replacement part and not subject to any controls. It does not need to be transfered through an FFL.

The most notable exception to this is the upper/barrel for a Ruger 22 auto pistol which is the controlled part and not the grip frame as on most pistols.
