Signing up for CA DOJ CFLC program - simple?

How simple is it for an out-of-state FFL to sign up for the CFLC program and obtain Firearms Shipment Approval Numbers?

From my understanding, it's very simple:

1. Register with CFLC (5 min, free, one time thing)

2. And each time you want to ship a gun (or guns), you just need to fill out a form for a Firearms Shipment Approval Number, on the CFLC website.

Am I missing anything here?

It's quick and simple to register and even quicker to generate the shipment approval letter.

Does it take awhile for your FFL03 number to become "active" on the CFLC site?

My FFL03 was approved on 5/1/24 (that's the date it shows on the license) but every time I enter the correct FFL number it says invalid license number.

03 FFLs cannot utilize CFLC.
