My gun is stuck in limbo in between 2 FFLS...

Okay I am beyond frustrated and nobody from either FFL has been able to give me answers.

I purchase a new P320 from Bullseye Bishop in San Jose. 10 days is up and I go in to pick up. They said the dros is down and don't know when they'll be up and running. (Probably the second time in the last 3 years that this happened since Ive been shopping there). Come to find out they let some license expire or something and the DOJ was taking forever to renew (what Ive gathered from reading on reddit). So a week passes and nothing. They call me back to tell me to re do the paperwork but Ill have to pick up from the Coyote clay range. Huge inconvenience since I dont live close by. I do it anyways because I'm impatient. I go back to their shop and redo paperwork. I guess they had someone from the clay range come do paperwork. Now I'm almost ready to pick up again next week and called Coyote and they said I had to go back to Bullseye to do paperwork AGAIN and that they wont be releasing it at their range. I don't get why I cant just pick it up from Bullseye if thats the case then and not have to redo paperwork AGAIN.

I'm at a loss.. I dont know who to call to resolve this. Please help.

If the 1st shop did not have access to the DROS system they could not cancel the DROS you started and the 2nd DROS ended up being a 1 in 30 violation. If not make sure the 2nd shop cancels before you start a 3rd DROS or it could end up being a 1 in 30 violation.

Another FFL that was a victim of not renewing their COE early enough. Just stick to the original store and tell them your time is valuable and you hope they agree to the tune of some major freebies.

I like having my wife on everything because if something happens to my COE, hers is a good backup so I can keep DROSing. Of course that does not help our poster out much here, but it is a good piece of advice to all FFLs. Redundancy and/or renew your COE as close to two months out as possible.
www.tenpercentfirearms.com was open from 2005 until 2018. I now own Westside Arms.
