    First Time Shipping

    Hello Folks,

Got my first firearm that I need to ship out of state. Been doing local business only for years. So I setup a regulated items account with UPS and the pricing I am seeing online to create the shipping label for a 2-day express pickup, is coming out to be $120+ for a rifle.

I feel like I must be doing something wrong, cause how could companies make money if the shipping is that expensive? Any other FFLs able to give me some advice or feedback?

    Much Appreciated,
    Jay

Why does it need to go express? Long guns can ship ground. You can also ship USPS.

My UPS long gun shipping usually runs about $40.00 +/-.

I used this service recently https://www.shipmygun.com/go/index.php

No issues, FFL/gun range in another state received my shipment on time. The service used UPS as the shipper & they are a subsidiary of Buds Gun Shop https://www.budsgunshop.com/

I use shipping easy usps will ship longuns. No reason to pay 120 bucks. I shipped 5 long guns to ffl in New York for 55 bucks. Buyer always pays for shipping anyway.
