    30 day new handgun question

I purchased a new handgun on 9/29/23. I won an auction on gunbroker for a used Olympic exempt handgun. Dealer says I have to wait until after 10/29/23 to DROS it.
Being a used gun, that is 45+ years old, is this true? I thought we Californians can buy as many used ?California legal? handguns as we wanted to?
Thank you for any help by answering.

      This.

Next year, it won?t matter. PPTs will be 1-30 as well.

It's not a PPT. Its a different type of transfer.

You might want to consider getting a 03 C&R FFL and a certificate of eligibility (COE).
As the 1 in 30 expands, so far, the exemption for the 03 FFL and COE remain. Other benefits include proof of residence and purchase of mail-order ammunition.
It took me 30 days to get both and the cost is not exorbitant.
