This is directed at any FFL who has an AW permit. I am a LEO that is buying an AR-15 from a fellow officer. It is currently registered as an AW to him. He received a clearance letter from our chief. I understand I will need a letter as well.
My question is regarding fees. I was told that the DOJ charges a "storage fee" of $550.00 to the FFL to conduct this transfer for up to four weapons. Can anyone detail the charges for this?
