    CA DMV License Address

About to purchase another Handgun. Been at this for 49 years so yes i am CA Kosher.

Had to change my DL address. DMV said just write new address on the back with a Sharpe; we'll update when you renew (11/2025) HaHaHa...

So, my current DL/Photo ID with "old address" + My Car registration with correct current address + Utility Bill with correct current address + CA Campfire Permit with correct current address - should suffice.

This is correct and i should be GTG?

My current FFL none of this is a problem. My new purchase will be thru a "new 2 me" FFL and i want to avoid any of their BS.

    Appreciate the feedback. Best, Dave

First of all there is no BS when i comes to ATF and DOJ requirements and yes you are GTG with nothing more than a DL/ID and valid vehicle registration that has your name and current address.

        With thanks

        Appreciate the replies!

From a "non FFL perspective" certain ones say one thing and others say another. Like i've never been on the receiving end of that? Not callin anyone in particular out..just sayin...

I always say this though; despite what taperx is saying is correct you Must check with the FFL you are using. Just because you have what you have and it is legal doesn't mean that particular place will accept. You need to ask them what they will accept. I have read more than several members here complaining about the FFL they used not accepting their docs even though what they had was legal.

Do this if buying ammo before your next handgun. You don't need to do this in addition to a new DROS though. If your new handgun purchase is soon and not buying ammo before you pick up handgun then the cfars update is not needed.
