    FFL to FFL Firearm Shipping

    Good morning all,

Recently I had a client reach out wanting a firearm sent from my FFL to another FFL. They have informed me that the gun is not registered to them, and that the registered owner passed away, leaving the gun with them.

Knowing this information, is it even legal for me to take possession of this firearm?

    Thanks in advance

I would ask for paperwork stating that they were in fact the heir of the estate otherwise it COULD be considered a stolen firearm.

So, now it is ironic that the State whittles away at the right of its citizens to defend themselves from the possible oppression of their State.

This. It amazes me the lengths some will go to insert themselves into the process. It is incumbent on the buyer, seller, and shipper to obey the law. Not for a dealer to act as the hall monitor and eraser cleaner.
