    Question for you FFL's

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I figured you FFL's would know, so thought I would ask here. I'm wanting to order powder and primers, but we've had issues with package theft of late, so the wife and I got a mailbox at the local UPS store where we have Amazon orders etc shipped to. I suppose I could just have the items shipped to my folks house as I'm there every other weekend at least, but was wondering if these items can be shipped to a UPS store, or even hub?

I have an 03FFL and COE, and can't even order ammo anymore for fear of the POS patrol coming through and stealing it.

Not an FFL, but primers and powder are not FFL items. It just requires a Haz mat shipping. No reason why your UPS store won't hold a package for you.

I don't think you can ship explosives / haz mat to a ups "store". You can send them to a "hub"

I'm not certain on your question, but I know that when I ship ammunition I have to include the hazard label on the box and take it to the Fed Express hub. A regulate Fed Ex store won't accept it. If you buy powder and primers, its going to come in a box with the hazardous labels. Would a FedEx or UPS Store accept it? Don't know. Your best bet is to ask them. That's how I found out how to ship ammo.

I switched to a locking mail box at my house for similar reasons (missing mail, not packages). Someone needs to invent a locking package box. Maybe an old street side mail drop off box ;-)

          AFAIK...

Because of Federal and CA laws regarding the storage/transportation of "explosives" (gun powder, primers) [HSC 12000(a)], most mailbox (FedEx, UPS, etc) stores do not have the CA mandated storage requirements to ship or store "explosives" (gun powder, primers).

So, those items can only be shipped/stored at a shipping hub, which have the mandated storage/shipping requirements under Federal and CA laws/regulations.
