Bass Pro Refused a PPT for AR15

Store policy can be whatever store management wants it to be.
FFLs are required to do PPTs as a condition of their license, but I know they don't have to do PPTs on handguns if they don't sell handguns. Assume the same could be true for AR15s. Does Bass Pro sell AR15s?
My long time FFL would not handle ARs or AKs. He felt the liability was too great.
I had a long discussion with the gun room staff at the Reno Cabelas about a year ago. They said that Cabelas was a hunting store that also sold fishing gear while Bass Pro was a fishing store that also sold guns. When Bass Pro bought Cabelas they called the shots on gun sales which affected how Cabelas did business. There were things Cabelas use to do that were perfectly legal that BP would not allow by policy. -
What he said.
In addition, CA DOJ BOF will not jam up/go after/fine a CA FFL dealer for refusing to transfer a firearm that they think or feel is not CA legal.Last edited by Quiet; 02-22-2023, 4:54 PM.sigpic

So, now it is ironic that the State whittles away at the right of its citizens to defend themselves from the possible oppression of their State.
