    Import and Inheritance

Trying to help a friend. His father lives in Norway and wants to give him 2, bolt action rifles and a pump action shotgun. The son lives here and is a U.S. citizen. Trying to find what forms he would need to legally transfer the guns.
    Thanks

He will need a lot of money.

He cannot do this himself and file forms. He needs a licensed firearms importer, and also maybe an exporter in Norway.

Also note that the firearms will have to be import marked. In some cases the markings can be placed in discreet spots.

Have the father contact a dealer in Norway that deals with export.

They will have contacts to get it into the USA if allowed.

The import contact in the USA will then get it sent to a local FFL so your friend can do the local paperwork
