    Ammunition Question

Do any current CA laws prohibit an individual, say a hunter, from taking ammunition out-of-state, and then returning to CA with the unused portion? I have seen threads asking various forms of this question, but they were quite old. Looking for a clear understanding. Thanks,

No. I take a pic of ammo with time, location stamp. Never been checked. I do not bother when flying tsa could cars less as long as 11 pounds of ammo limit.

You can't bring into California ammunition which was bought or otherwise obtained outside of California (some exceptions apply).

LEO has to prove you got it out of state.

30314. (a) Commencing January 1, 2018, a resident of this state shall not bring or transport into this state any ammunition that he or she purchased or otherwise obtained from outside of this state unless he or she first has that ammunition delivered to a licensed ammunition vendor for delivery to that resident pursuant to the procedures set forth in Section 30312.
