need some help and info please

I own a CA compliant CZ SP-01. Currently I live in the Free state of Nevada (escape CA about 3 years ago).

If I sell this gun to a CA resident:
    1. Can I ship this gun directly to the FFL of their choosing?
    2. Can someone explain to me how the payment of the firearm works when a gun is shipped?
Does the buyer just have to trust the seller?

Thank you for your help and I hope someday CA will become free or free'er.

    1. Yes. That gun is on roster so no issues transfering it. Have the buyer find an FFL willing to accept it being shipped from a private seller. Its legal, but some don't want to bother with it. Expect to supply at least a copy of your drivers license.
    2. Thats between you and the buyer, the FFL is not involved nor does it really matter if it is a gun. No different than buying a fishing reel from craigslist or something. If your sending money to a stranger , its always a risk.

I recently sold a SA EMP to a CA resident. The buyer's FFL would not agree to accept shipment from me directly, so I had to use a local FFL and there was only one I could find that would do it because to ship a firearm to CA the out of state FFL needs some sort of CA DOJ permission. Fortunately, the one I found shipped for what it would have cost me to use UPS. So I would start with trying to find a FFL local to you that has and will ship to CA for a reasonable price. The buyer had to trust me by sending the funds first. I provided her with information to help her verify my identity. I also have done sales before with a positive rating on all of them, so I assume that helped.

You do not state where you are in Nevada so it may be possible to meet a buyer in CA close to the CA NV border. Good luck.
