Unless something changed you should be fine to submit the form

Honestly not many keep their dros paperwork.
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT
    (thanks to Jeff Cooper)

Ignore the 2010 DROS. Interfamily transfer it to you with the correct serial number. I would not bother with the no longer in possession they will just figure it was a gun he had purchased face to face pre registration BS.

Just do the transfer, it will be registerd to you with the correct serial number at that time. Bonus, your dads name is not attached to that gun. Nothing to be corrected or done on his end, don't stir the pot.

Sounds good I will just do the family transfer then. Thank you for the replies!
