Ignore the 2010 DROS. Interfamily transfer it to you with the correct serial number. I would not bother with the no longer in possession they will just figure it was a gun he had purchased face to face pre registration BS.Comment

Just do the transfer, it will be registerd to you with the correct serial number at that time. Bonus, your dads name is not attached to that gun. Nothing to be corrected or done on his end, don't stir the pot.Comment
