Hello,
Apologize if this isn't the right spot for the question but...
I'm processing my CCW renewal and I was informed that everything is good to go except one of my firearms has the serial number duplicated in the model instead of the actual firearm model in the DOJs system and I can't add it until I get it corrected. I pulled out my DROS form to see and she was right. It was mistakingly put in the wrong box when the gun shop did the paperwork.
I am not sure what the best option would be to correct this. Someone told me to go to a pawn shop and do a pawn return. I don't see much recent info on this, but it looks like it was used to correct SSE calibers. Is this still a viable option and would it work to correct the model? (It is off roster if that matters)
I am also looking at CFARS and wondering if an ownership report may correct it?
Anyone had a similar situation/have feedback to correct it.
Edited to add this is in Riverside County.
Thanks
