So on the DOJ FAQ it says that it is $5 to reprint a FSC. And the DOJ charges us $5 to reprint the file on our printer with our ink and paper. What do you charge the customer for the reprint? Just the $5 or more to cover your costs and time? Just curious.

i scanned my sheet when i got home if i laser printed it out again it would look identical the guy signed with black ink

All the fsc I issued were saved on my server and I signed them using the computer. That way I could just email them to people. No way I am giving ca extra cash for nothing.Comment

We also save local copies. I thought it was BS to require $5 to reprint. If they changed their name and wanted a new card to match new name/ID I'd have to charge them since that requires the DOJ system to update and I'm forced to pay DOJ $5.UG Imports - Fremont, CA FFL - Transfers, New Gun Sales

Could be 2 reasons at that place:Originally posted by ceotrannot an ffl but an ffl told me that if i lost my fsc, i would have to take the test again.
everyone who works there are jerks anyways. pretty sure it's them being jerks
1) they don't save copies
2) they have a revolving door of FSC instructors or too many and can't guarantee the person that issued yours would be there to even re-print for the $5 DOJ fee.UG Imports - Fremont, CA FFL - Transfers, New Gun Sales

We tell everyone that only the person who issued it can reprint it for $5.00 fee. If theyre gone, fired, off work, dead whatever then theyll have to take the test again and $25 fee.Interstate Transfers $100 (DROS included with the price)

When I got mine at Sportsman's they gave me two copies. One to carry and one I was told to put in my gun safe. I was told they would have to charge me if I lost both. Can't remember how much that was though.Comment

i should make a scan of mine as a backup copy to carry and leave the actual one at home.Originally posted by leelawBecause -ohmigosh- they can add their opinions, too?Originally posted by SoCalSig1911Preppers canceled my order this afternoon because I called them a disgrace... When I worked at a gunshop we saved a copy of everyone’s FSC in a folder on our laptop that we used for submitting DROS. . If someone lost it, and came in we could just reprint a copy of it for no charge. If we couldn’t find it, we went on the DOJ website to look it up and reprint it for $5.Comment
