    PPT a C&R firearm with FFL03 License

I wanted to know whose information I put down in the acquisition and disposition portion in my bound book. Do I put the actual seller/buyers information, or can I just use the FFL01's name and address? What will satisfy the requirements?

If I am getting a gun transferred through a 01 FFL, I only log the FFL info.

I only log private party info if I am doing a private transfer without using a 01 FFL (C&R long guns)

You put who actually transferred the firearm to you. Not who "sold it". If you've filled out a 4473/DROS, then it's the dealer, because that firearm was logged into their book, before it was transferred to you. Same for a disposition. If you sell, but transfer through a FFL, you "dispositioned" to that FFL (who logged it into their book, then out to someone else), not who paid you on gunbroker. Otherwise there would be two bound books that both say they gave the same gun to the same guy.

Thank you all for the information, I do have one more question.

When performing a PPT/buying out of state/buying C&R longgun without FFL01, will I need the whole FFL03 certification or just the card format will suffice.

It depends on the person handing you the gun. They can require whatever it is they need to feel comfortable.

I personally never use that small card for anything. I only use copies of the standard license. I keep extras in my glovebox

I also keep copies with my address redacted and use those whenever possible when dealing with a private seller. But in the end, they can ask for whatever they want to verify you are in fact the licensee.
