Lazy? Tell me you aren't a FFL in CA, without telling me you aren't a CA FFL, Let alone run a business.
Although they are required by law to do the transfer if they sell handguns, keep in mind that $10 PER GUN was set in 1990. The State has zero incentive to raise the PPT per gun price.
What do you make per hour? Would you show up to your job for what you would have made in 1990? Lets say you currently make $22.11/hour. That would be $10 in 1990. Would your "lazy ***" show up for $10/hr?
So, let's say that FFL charges $50 for a transfer(which is on the low end) that would be $22.61 in 1990 dollars.
My response is PPT's are $37.19 and $10 per firearm. I do everything by appointment only. Turns out I'm all booked.
I do PPT's as a favor to my regulars. I normally refuse tips, but for a PPT it's appreciated and welcomed.Comment

Not every transaction is a money maker. Sometimes you actually make nothing or take a loss. That’s probably true in all lines of business.
Ppt is an obligation but shouldn’t be a majority of the business. Most shops setup certain days and times for ppt. Not doing any ppt and making up stories is not a good way of running business in my opinion.Comment

Very true, I've heard countless amounts of stories of many FFL's refusing to do PPT's altogether, even though they're required by law to do so.sigpicComment
