I got caught with this a while back, luckily I only had to wait an extra hour.
I saw somewhere the jail time actually defined in the code as 240 hours rather than 10 days.
The 30 days is 720 hours from the start time.

The earliest delivery time is calculated when the DROS is submitted and it is printed on the DROS, and it accounts for DST changes during the wait.

If you make it a habit to highlight it for and read it to the customer when the DROS is submitted and printed, it may help keep everyone straight or at least alert you at time of submission (aka well in advance of delivery) to any surprises. And even when it is not alerting you to a DST change, it is still a good practice.

Remember the wait is 240 hours, not 10 days.
