COE Current Renewal Time

Hello fellow FFL's,

Has anybody received their COE renewal recently? I know they claim they can take 4-8 weeks to process, but I'm hoping for something faster. I've already had a couple of DROS's pass their "Latest Delivery Date".

Part of my problem was that I could not get the CFARS system to accept my original Birth Certificate. It would upload, and then the system would ask me to upload it. I tried 8 times before I called the DROS Entry folks, and they said it was happening to others. They said to upload the birth certificate after choosing "Certificate of Citizenship from the upload drop-down menu, rather that choosing "Birth Certificate". That worked, but this wait is so frustrating. Next year I'll know to submit the renewal earlier.

I had to renew mine in the summer. I renewed on day 59, just about the earliest you possibly could and they took the entire 2 months, we got it a day or so before mine expired.

I sent my renewal in last month, it took 18 days to get the new COE. This time included them emailing me to ask for my 03 FFL number and emailing again to have me upload my DL in CFARS.

I started a new thread cause I guess no one noticed my question of the previous thread.

My COE expires in a few days. Per instructions, downloaded my D/L...are they now asking for another form of ID (i.e. Birth Cert., etc?)
And when and how does one pay the associated fees...?
OR...am I waiting for a Renewal Form come Nov. 1, (after my COE expires).

I've filled out the COE renewal form to include downloaded D/L and Birth Cert.
There is no prompt to "submit"...only "done"?
The form indicates teh doc. has been uploaded but no "Fee" page comes up??
I'm sure I'm doing something wrong and the CFARS desk only takes messages.

I think I found the trick...
You must click on the "Review" tab which then directs you to the submission page.
Never felt previously that I had to review what I was submitting so I was never redirected to the submission and payment portions.
Ya just gotta love em...

I just finished submitting my COE renewal, it also asked me if i have a Real ID, if you do you must upload you DL, lets see how long it takes

My COE timeline is: (1) 10/09/2021 submitted by renewal application, (2) 10/15/2021 received e-mail from DOJ that I need to e-mail them my FFL 03 license # - which I did on the same day, (3) 10/29/2021 received e-mail from DOJ stating my COE application status is "In Progress." The 10/29/2021 e-mail also said it can take 4-8 weeks to process. I guess we will see what happens next.
