I know the DOJ has a specific ammo vendor license I can apply for, but besides that and the typical business license etc, anything else do I need? I previously explored trying to get my FFL07 with SOT just for hobby stuff with no intent on actually doing business but the zoning issue left me dead in the water. Respectfully, any tips, info, advice is greatly appreciated.
If you can't sell guns, you can't sell ammo if zoning doesn't allow.

You can't get an 07 or 01 if you're not actually engaged in the business either. You can't just get one as a hobby.

I'm an ammo vendor is San Diego. CA DOJ, requires the following licenses or permits.
        Ammo Vendors License
        Local Business License
        California Seller's Permit
        California Certificate of Eligibility
Oddly don't require a 03 FFL or any FFL. I currently have an 03.
No local restriction from my local police or sheriffs. And are sticklers that none of the above do not expire, or you lose your license, and have to start over.
The DES program for doing the background check is a horrible program to use.
