Logged on last night and the new COE was available.
Got email this morning saying same.

Applying for COE and FFL question PLEASE help!!
I got live scanned on 10/01/21
I applied for My COE 10/01/21
Sent out my application for a FFL type 03 to ATF and CLEO 10/4/21
Today 10/05/21 CFARS got back to me asking for my FFL license number or a reason for applying for a COE. They wanted me to email it to them. I did, stating, I don't have my FFL number because I just applied for it and I need a COE along with my FFL in CA. Y are they asking for that? There is nowhere on the app to put a FFL number. Also I put my ATI number in and after I summited the app, I can no longer see it. Is this normal? Please any help would be nice, cause I'm getting discouraged about it all Thank youComment

Or, you could email back, asking for the statute/regulation that requires you to provide that FFL #.

Right on thanks, I emailed them back. Well see. Hopefully I get my FFL within the 60 days my live scan is good. Or else, I guess it'll be another $106 for a new one. Ill keep updating, hopefully it'll help someone else from making the same mistake. I'm guessing its best to get the type 03 FFL first. Then the live scan and apply for COE.Comment

I have to renew by 10-26 but I have no idea how to solve this problem. Things changed this year and they are requiring Real ID. Why? You had to prove who you were and do a background to get the COE in the first place. Anyway, Im locked up abroad due to Covid and cant get to a DMV. I wrote to DOJ several times and they reply that there are messages waiting for me on the website but there is nothing there. I do have all my docs with me and asked if I can upload to them instead of getting Real ID first and no reply at all. Im going to write my Rep for help. Also unlike last year, they arent accepting phone calls.
People may want to know that you have your expiration date PLUS 90 days to renew. In my case I doubt I will meet even that since I have no clue when I can go home. Id hate to start this all over again. All because of no-reason Real ID!Slim River Carry Slings for Henry AR-7Comment

Currently waiting for license to arrive in the mail, should be any day. I hope this helps anyone, cause previous information had helped me. Looks like times can be pretty fast within a month.Comment
