    7/1/2021 1 in 30 DROS issues..

    Anyone else running into issues.

If we try to add a receiver to a Pistol DROS or vise/versa it won't let me continue without selecting a 30 day exemption. Even if I change the receive to bolt action I get the same error.

are you saying that DROS system is considering a receiver as a firearm (pistol or centerfire rifle)? there were some discussions around this. it seems the general consensus was that receiver is not a firearm and shouldn't be impacted by the 7/1 1 in 30 law change.

Yeah the DOJ said they are away of the issue and working on it but yes, the system is not letting these transaction go through right now.

DROS is only allowing one receiver, doesn't matter if its single shot, bolt or semi-auto.

DOJ told me clearing cookies and cache before all transactions is a temporary fix but Im not having any consistent luck with this.

That is their default "this is how to fix things" advice.

I did some tests..the following are impacted:

              1 handgun + 1 longgun
              2 long guns

It doesn't matter what the long gun is..
              I did 2 semi-auto shotguns..fail
              I did 1 semi-auto shotgun + 1 glock 19.. fail
              I did 1 semi-auto shotgun + 1 pump shotgun..fail

So I was on hold for 50 minutes for another issue and asked them about this. They said we have to clear cache cookies, delete browser history, and delete your bookmarks and it should work. What if I don't want to do that?

For $37.19 per transaction, we should get a better level of service. This is ridiculous.

I did all that first and it was still broken for me... last night when I was testing I did it on a browser I never used to log into DES before.

ETA: I just did a test again (clearing cookies, etc..again)...and it appears to be ok... looks like they actually may have fixed something...

I just ran a Taurus 856 and a Benelli M2 at the same time. I did not try it before clearing my cookies, but it definitely works.
