Vendor shipping C&R firearm directly to my home...

update: Got it rerouted properly and everyone on the same page. Thanks all.

Would appreciate some input on the best course of action here--

I won an auction on Gunbroker for a C&R rifle, paid for it, emailed the seller in Colorado with my C&R+COE just for their records and let them know that I still need them to ship to a FFL 01 for me to pick up there due to CA state law, and I'd be following up with them once I get the OK from said LGS.

While I was waiting for the local dealer to get back to me, the seller seems to have misunderstood and created a shipping label with my home address as the destination.

I've reached out, but if the package can't be redirected in time, should I:

    A) reject the shipment when it gets here
    B) accept it and take it to a FFL01 to have the DROS done

    Thank you in advance.

Ouch. I guess you can accept it and take it to your LGS in the sealed box although refusing or rerouting it is more legal.

any FFL you take it to wont accept it. The FFL needs to log where it came from in their book. There needs to be a record in california's license check system if the seller was an FFL. This is going to be a giant mess for any FFL and none are going to want to deal with it. The only legal thing to do is reject the shipment.

You dont need to send you FFL03 to anyone out of state because they are never transferring the firearm to you, they are transferring to an in state FFL01 and that FFL is transferring to you. The only time you need give your FFL03+COE to out of state person is for ammo buying or if you physically go and pick the firearm up from them

There maybe an issue if there is no CFLC number in the box.

            And this is why

This is why many out of state sellers just won't deal with Californians at all. Too confusing of regulations.

So within California, C&R item can be shipped directly to my home and I enter it myself into CRIS on CFARS?

Its not that confusing, just send it to an FFL.
