    18 year old buying gun

My fiances son wants to buy one of my guns - a CA compliant keltec sub 2000 - but he's only 18. Is there a way to legally transfer it to him? I saw something that said that you now have to be 21 for an ffl to process transfers?

    Thanks.

    Under Penal Code section 27510:
    (a) A person licensed under Sections 26700 to 26915, inclusive, shall not sell, supply, deliver, or give possession or control of a firearm to any person who is under 21 years of age.

    (b) (1) Subdivision (a) does not apply to or affect the sale, supplying, delivery, or giving possession or control of a firearm that is not a handgun or a semiautomatic centerfire rifle to a person 18 years of age or older who possesses a valid, unexpired hunting license issued by the Department of Fish and Wildlife.

    Penal Code section 27585

A person who is under 21, but 18 or over, and has a valid hunting license can receive a firearm that is not a handgun or a semiautomatic centerfire rifle. A Kel-Tec SUB-2000 is considered a semiautomatic centerfire rifle, so if the intended recipient is under 21, even if the intended recipient has a hunting license, a dealer cannot transfer.
