    New O3 app. question (17)

Sorry if this has been asked many times, but I did search and look a bit for the answer but did not find anything directly addressing it.

I'm applying for a 03 that will be solely at this point for me to get ammo I can not find here in the state easily(Bismuth for old shotguns). I won't be selling anything at this point, but might in the distant future.
Do I admit to this per question 17 "Do you intend to use your license ONLY to acquire firearms to enhance your personal collection?" or is it a "trap" ? lol

    Thanks for any insight.

That is what a C&R license is for. You may not use it for business purposes.

      Yes.

03 is a Federal Collector's license nothing else. However in CA, if you have 03 & COE you can order ammo from out of state and ship to your door.

Even though having a valid C&R 03-FFL and valid COE makes that person exempt from needing to utilize a CA licensed ammunition vendor or CA FFL dealer to obtain ammo in CA, that exemption does not extend to the limits on how much a person in CA can legally transfer while in CA.

Ok. COE=Cert. Of Eligibility correct? That is a CA DOJ form/request? I can do that concurrently with applying for the FFL 03, or do I need to be in possession of said 03?

Thanks for all the help guys!

            One more. Part B

When applying for the FFL03 some links are saying you need to fill out "Part B Responsible Person Questionnaire". Is that required or is that just for anyone working under my license?
