    CELO filling out my ffl 03

    Im filling out my ffl forum and trying to figure out who my cleo
    Would it be John McMahon for san bernardino County or Jason Cunningham captain for apple valley ca

    I'm sorry if this has been asked a bunch could find a answer

      If you are in an incorporated city with their own department not a contract with the county for LE, the chief of police is the chief law enforcement officer. If it is a city with a contract or unincorporated towns it is the sheriff.

            While this is 100% correct, if the OP is within the incorporated limits of the city he still should use the city chief of police. The fact that the city contracts for police services isn't relevant to the completion of the form.

              It is totally dependent as to who is doing the record keeping. Many contract cities will have the S.O. maintaining records as part of the contract and a cost saving measure.
              Best to call the S.O. records first.
