ATF Form 6A & Customs Help

I'm about to start the process of importing two shotguns from Germany for a customer. He is a resident alien who left his hunting guns behind. Now he would like to get them.

Have any of you fellow FFLs done this before? I could use some help.

    Thanks
    Jim

Contact Rene at Speed Shooters and let him know I referred you. He regularly exports firearms and I'm sure he's more knowledgeable than most regarding import/export regs.

How long is your customer going to be here in the U.S. ?? Importing a firearm into the U.S. can take many months or up to a year. It can also be very costly $300 to $500 per firearm.

Some firearms are also just not importable. Even some hunting rifles.

He has been living here for some years now and plans on staying.

He has two OU shotguns to import.

A Calgun'r named "gose" imported some of his guns from I forget which European country. He has posted about the process in a couple of threads...

You can probably even PM him for more details.

Great, thank you. Someday I will learn to use the search function in a way that narrows down the results to what I'm looking for.
