    Personal transfer

Odd question (that I think I know the answer to already) - my FFL business is structured as an LLC in California, I, personally, carry a Utah drivers license/ID.
If my FFL LLC purchases a new off roster handgun can I sell it to myself as an individual and transfer it on only a 4473 in California or, do I need to ship it to a* Utah FFL for transfer?

A transfer from your dealer inventory to your personal inventory would be subject to the roster and any roster exemption. That you have a FFL does make you as an individual exempt from the roster.

There are threads on this forum discussing moving firearms from dealer inventory to personal inventory such as https://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/....php?t=1513876 and https://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/....php?t=1068866

The business is located in California.
I probably have another 6-8 months until I have a permanent address in Utah and move my FFL from California to Utah.
I'm currently renting and, per the lease agreement, cannot operate a business out of the rental.

Understood but, I would assume that would apply if I was a California resident. Since I've established residency in Utah but still conduct business in California would it still be applicable?

Or if you were concerned about inventory...purchase it to your CA FFL inventory and transfer it to your Utah inventory -> yourself when you get set up over there assuming you have overlap between the 2 locations.
