    CA FFl's Leaving The state

I've heard of a few dealers near me folding up shop due to new huge fines being served for mistakes on their 4473's. True?

New law goes into effect 7/1/2022
Moving before they get fined. No one knows how it will go.... but if I was bad at paperwork I would probably close shop as well.

What does a 4473 have to do with CA? It is a federal form, it is required in all 50 states.

What a joke. DOJ can't even get their own computer systems in order. Who is going to fine them??????

It is truly an abuse of office.
The DOJ can issue rulings, and policies that implement laws, that are difficult to understand to follow and implement. Many times their own staff do not know these same policies and procedures.
Even if they know there will be lawsuits they don't care because they have an unlimited legal budget and there will be no repercussions.
They just keep on keepin' on.
You would think they are trying to get guns out of the hands of the people.
