FFL03 renewed for 4 years but number is different

HI, wondering if anyone else out there has had this happen and what it means.
I was all set to pay for my 03 renewal in Jan. but i just got a new one in the mail that says its good till 2024. coulda forgot paying but i dont see where i did. Also, there is 1 digit different in the new one from the old one.
what does all that mean? is it normal for the renewed one to be a different number? Now i have to relist it with all the places i buy at, big hassle and would seem unnecessary imho. any info would be much appreciated. trying to look online also for info but so far not much

My 01 FFL numbers change every renewal. I would assume the C&R change every renewal as well.

As I under stand it, the only number that changes is the figure preceding the letter which reflects the last digit in the year that your FFL expires.

OOPS!! Good to know. I actually had no idea that the numbers changed.
