Can I PPT this AR Pistol?

Situation: moved from Nevada with my AR pistol maglocked. I did NOT register with CFARS. Buyers FFL says if it was not registered here in CA as a pistol DROS will reject it.

Can this AR Pistol be PPT'd as a pistol or not? I do not have an FSC and due to being in a roommate situation I do not have proof of residency documents to take back this weapon in case the transfer ends up rejected.

Not sure what this bolded means. Depending on the FFL you go to any of these could be acceptable:
        1) Sublease agreement between you and roommate (you can sign this in minutes)
        2) Fishing License (you can get this same day)
        3) Hunting License (you can get this same day assuming you have pre-reqs met)
        4) Calfire Camp Permit (you can get this same day)
        5) CA Vehicle Registration (assuming you have one)

As for whether or not it can be PPTd I see no reason why not. If you're within the "new resident" window then there is/was no requirement for it to be registered yet. All of the above assumes you have a CA ID/DL as that is a requirement to do a PPT as well.

I left out “not” and meant do not have an FSC. As for the bold, I do not have any approved documents to show residency IE cable, gas, electric bill etc. My reg is NV .

What is stopping you from getting any item #1-4 on the list I mentioned (assuming your FFL will accept them). They are all legal forms of proof of residency. You will need to check which your FFL will accept as not all of them will recognize all 4 items even though they are technically legal.

You need to have been a resident of CA for 6 months to obtain those licenses. Rental agreement needs to be notorized and I cannot afford to Reg and Insure my vehicle in this state yet. So again, I do not have the required docs needed to take back this pistol if DROS rejects.

Rental Agreement does not need to be notarized. At least none of the ones I've ever taken have been. Where on the free campfire permit does it say you need to be a resident for 6 months?

Even if the Rental Agreement needs to be notarized per your FFL, that only costs you $10, is your roommate not willing to go do that with you?

What is stopping you from getting those? It's up to you, but I was trying to help you have documents for your POR. If you don't want to make the effort then don't PPT your firearm until you're ready and have whatever document you want to have.

Your own website directs customers to DOJs acceptable list of docs page. Nowhere does it list a campfire license as being acceptable.

                        Sure it does...

" Current, government-issued license, permit, or registration, other than a California Driver License or California Identification Card, that has a specified expiration date or period of validity. The license, permit, or registration must bear the individual's name and either of the following:
The individual's current residential address as declared on the DROS form; or
The individual's address as it appears on his or her California Driver License, California Identification Card, or change of address attachment thereto."

I'm glad you followed that because if you look at:
Firearms Dealers Links to Topics below General FAQs DROS Entry System (DES) Internet Process AB 1872/2165/2699 Dealer FAQs General FAQs What are California's licensing requirements for firearms dealers? How much is the annual Centralized List fee and when must it be paid? What is a California Firearms Dealer (CFD) number? Do I need to send copies of my dealer's Federal Firearms License and local firearms license(s) to DOJ? How is DROS information submitted? How do I get copies of the blank DROS worksheet? How can I correct or cancel a DROS submission?

                            14B says:
Residential lease that bears the individual's name and either of the following:
The individual's current residential address as declared on the DROS form; or
The individual's address as it appears on his or her California Driver License or California Identification Card, or change of address attachment thereto.
"Residential lease" means either of the following:

                            * A signed and dated contract by which the individual (tenant) agrees to pay a specified monetary sum or provide other consideration for the right to occupy an abode for a specified period of time; or
                            * A signed and dated rental agreement by which the individual (tenant) agrees to pay a specified monetary sum or provide other consideration at fixed intervals for the right to occupy an abode.
You'll note it doesn't say notarized. If you want a very simple template you can use this: http://www.ugimports.com/docs/Reside..._Agreement.pdf
DOJ has accepted this form during our previous audits.

However, as I mentioned earlier, regardless of what info I provide in this thread you'll need to check with the FFL you are doing the transfer at on what is acceptable to them.
