    Assault Weapons Permits

I had a question for those of you with Assault Weapons Permits. I was looking at the application and it asks about your current / past employers. Do you know what this information is used for? I really don't want my current employer / manager contacted in regards to my application since they do not even know that I'm starting up a firearms business.

Thanks for any info that can be provided.

So, CA DOJ agents can interview your employer about you, in reference to a background check. Depending on the agent they may or may not tell your employer the background check is for firearms.

You can contact the CA DOJ BOF Assault Weapon Registration and Special Weapon Permits Department [phone (916) 263-8100] for more information or assistance in filling out you Dangerous Weapons Permit/License application.
