Out of state AK rifle transfer

Are the any FFL's in North SD county or South Riverside county that would accept something similar to WASR10, and install the "grip fin" in-house to make transfer legal? I have read as long as it has fixed stock and no flash hider, all it needs is the grip fin. Alot easier to find stock AK type rifles than feature-less online. TIA for any info.

Send to audiophil to make ca legal. Cannot enter ca as aw unless shipped to ffl with aw license.

That makes sense, thanks for the info. Guess I might need to wait for Atlantic to get more stock in.

Also PM'd audiophil to get more info.

I've offered out-of-state sellers to buy their rifle, as long as they're willing to accept me shipping them a fin-grip to screw on over the existing pistol grip, so its "CA compliant" when it crosses the border heading to my receiving FFL (funny how CA only cares about certain things crossing its border and not others : - / ). Hasn't been a problem up till now. Collapsible or folding stock and flash suppressor? That's a different story altogether. Private sellers are much more likely to help you out. Retail sellers, not likely, unless you have them ship it to a "middleman" outfit, as said earlier.

Second on "remove the pistol grip". Fortunately, CA hasn't implemented "constructive possession" legal issues (like having all the parts for a full-auto conversion, even if not installed; a definite ATF / Federal problem). An CA DOJ FA Unit Supv who taught a class on CA AW law and other weapons laws even suggested so to get around the issue... just separate an AR into upper and lower, wrapped seperately but still in same box. Not a violation until assembled back together. Ship to your AW dealer to configure "correctly" before re-assembling (hack, cough, hack)...sorry, I meant "CA Compliant".

Unfortunately, that can't be done with an AK (seperate serial numbered lower from upper with "bad" features, like on an AR). So fixed stock, no flash suppressor, send to seller cheesy one-off slip-over screw-on fin grip to attach (purchased just for this purpose), seller ships into state. Or just remove grip altogether (again, most busy retail places will not want to bother with doing any mod's).
