    FSC blocking one entry

I have been getting this error message for a week: "An item already exists in pending queue/cart for: Xxxx Yyyy with the same id and date of birth." I called DOJ and after an hour on hold they told me that they would have to investigate. That was two days ago. There is nothing pending or in my cart.

His last FSC was issued in 2015.

Anyone else see this and did you find a workaround?

I had this issue recently. Turns out the buyer had taken an FSC test with another dealer and they had his FSC in their "Pending Invoices" and did not charge him due to their printer being down. He had to call the other dealer and have them cancel and delete it out of their cart. Once he had it deleted I could process the FSC normally.

Wow very good info but what a cluster for the customer - just more roadblocks to 2A imposed by DOJ bureaucratic snafus.

Customer claims the last time he took an FSC test was in 2015. His card was signed by the deceased ex-owner of the store I work in.

I mean, how would he even know who to call to clear the queue?

My customer had tried a few days earlier to get an FSC and that is what was in the other FFL's queue, not the one from years ago. I would ask if they tried to renew at another store recently.

That's the thing right there - in some cases it could be very hard if not impossible for the customer to run this down.

It would be interesting to know if that was the case.

It seems like DOJ should clear these queues automatically after some time has passed (a week or two?). What would be the point of letting them linger for so long

I called DOJ and explained the situation, luckily I got a person that followed through and said they would call me back. DOJ told me exactly what was going on and when I asked the customer about it, he said he went someplace else but that their printer was down so it never went through.

Did the problem get cleared? I'm still waiting. My guy claims that the last time he did anything with an FSC was in 2015.
