I found a couple older threads about the DP-12 shotgun being legal in CA in its original configuration with a capacity of 6 shotgun shells per tube and two in the chamber. I wanted to see if there has been any updates on this topic.
I spoke with Standard Manufacturing today and asked why they have a CA specific model and their regular DP-12. I was told they made the CA specific model when it was on the chopping block by name with some legislation that never passed a few years ago. They said the standard model that holds 6 per tube is the same model they send to Turner's, Oak Tree Gun Club etc. and the CA model that limits the tubes doesn't need to be ordered. Is the regular DP-12 good to go? or does it need to be modified for CA?
