    How will the new ATF Process 2020-2 affect Californians?

      Process or procedure. No big deal.

        It doesn't. We have to acquire the NTN before returning to seller via CA procedures already assuming that the buyer failed and didn't just let the 30-day window expire. This is probably more applicable to other states that don't have state guidelines.

          That ATF link seems to indicate we actually have to fill out a 4473 on return to seller as well now, correct?

          Under Denied/Canceled transactions:
          Complete a Form 4473 to return the firearm to the private party seller;
          That would seem a new requirement?

            It's rare that this occurs for us, but we already do that and put the NTN where the DROS number would be on the 4473. I think we came to this determination after researching what to do when the buyer failed.

            It's so rare as usually buyers are prohibited during dealer sales, and those are easy. What were others doing before?

              Haven't had one yet that went back to seller. Had one where the seller gave it up and we sold it. Another where they found a new buyer.
