Renewing Certified Instructor status. Question.

My C.I. expires in 36 days. I just submitted renewal request and all it said was it would be reviewed and I would be notified of the result. Has anyone else renewed theirs? Is there a charge for this? How long did it take to get a notice back? Thanks for any info....

No charge that I remember, but I did have to re-submit my credentials. If you didn't already upload those make sure you do so it doesn't delay your renewal.

Do you have to retake the course? Or is the course good forever and you just have to reapply when your CI Certificate expires?

Assuming you kept the certificate from your class you can just keep sending it in. If you lost the cert then you're out of luck and need to take it again or get an equivalent cert.

Thanks, yeah I kept the certificate. I still have a few years.

Last time I renewed and they asked for evidence of my training I just ignored the request and basically told them they should have it on file already from my initial application. They renewed me without delay. YMMV!
