My "home" FFL is a consultant/evaluator for my writing and consulting work. I have no access to DROS. Your best bet always is to call the shop. We rarely have someone cancel... they just don't show up (yeah, that sux). So we have "stealth" spur of the moment openings and someone would need to be less than 15 minutes away to take one of those.
