Selling Out of State

I'm planning on helping a lady dispose of some of her deceased husband's firearms. There are a few non-roster handguns and some hi caps that will need to go out of state (yes I have a hi cap license).

I know CA restrictions well enough, but how do I find out what the restrictions are in other states? Other than the hi caps, there is nothing that unusual; no AWs or NFA stuff.

Likewise, some of the firearms are C&R eligible. How do I find out what states allow direct shipment to C&R holders and which must go through a FFL? I suppose I could just say "no shipping to C&Rs". Curious what others do.

The handguns can be PPT'ed in-State. I don't have a storefront so my ability to find an in-state buyer is somewhat limited. I may still be able to do so, but I'd like to know what I need to do if they end up going out of state.

Put on gunbroker or contact Audiphil in az he has a good following. Put on Calguns for out of state or leo sale. What does she have?

Sell in Florida. We take anything.

Non C&R aren't an issue. The destination FFL will determine eligibility and it's the buyer's problem. Just sell with a restocking fee or sell with no returns.

C&R you'll have to check each state. There aren't many where it's regulated but a lot of states have strange purchase requirements, ala CA. To be safe, don't sell as C&R, require a standard FFL for all sales.

Face it, in today's market, you'll have the hardest time counting the cash.
